This camcorder does work as far as coming on and operating. Here is the problem I have came acroos when trying to record.

The viewfinder comes on and works great. When recording, I see the tape moving and I can stop it at any time. When I go to preview what I just recorded, it will not play back. I put in a movie and tried to play it, but i just got snow in the viewfinder's window. Once I ejected the tape, I saw that the tape was kind of loose. It did not tangle up, but was partially out. I never tried to use it except for turning it on and trying out some of the features as mentioned above. It seems that everything is still in the case and in operating condition. Please ask any questions before purchasing and I will answer them the best I can.
